Synopsis

Rise of the Planet of the Cats tells the story of the invasion of NYU Abu Dhabi by campus cats. These feral felines have learned of a plan to oust them from campus. Little do the petty humans know that the sentient beings prowling in front of D2 are going to use their cuteness as a weapon.

Direction & Production

Rise of the Planet of the Cats is directed by James Cateron (Titanic, Avatar). It is produced by George Lucat (Star Wars), who also took care of editing. Together, they have ensured that this film is full of thrills, and will open your eyes to the dormant threat of the furballs all around us.

Costume & Design

The famous singer Lady MeowMeow has done the costume design, for which she was nominated at the Cattes Film Festival. This film has been shot completely on NYU Abu Dhabi campus on Saadiyat Island. Cinematography was handled by NYUAD Comm Lab. Click on Cast to learn more.
